| Q | Where is Rockview Camp Cottage Resort located? |
| A | We are located at the beginning of the South Bay of Lake Nipissing in Ontario, Canada which is: 3 1/2 hours North of Toronto 1 1/2 hours North of Muskoka 3 1/2 hours West of Ottawa 2 hours East of Sudbury 30 minutes South of North Bay |
| Q | How do we get to Rockview Camp Cottage Resort? |
| A | Our web site includes a Goggle map which will allow you to get door to door, turn by turn driving directions. Just follow the instructions and print. Or you can program our address (99 Rockview Road, Callander) into your onboard GPS. If you plan on visiting from overseas you have the choice of flying to Toronto or Ottawa and rent a car from there. Or you can fly on to North Bay from either airport and rent your car in North Bay. |
| Q | Are the cottages on the lake? |
| A | Yes, all our cottages are lakefront. |
| Q | What do the cottages include? |
| A | Our cottages have a fully equipped kitchen, living room, bathroom and 2 or 3 bedrooms. Check our "Cottages" page for a full list of amenities and pictures of each cottage as well as a layout of the resort. |
| Q | What do we need to bring to the cottage? |
| A | All you need to bring are bathroom towels, beach towels and your food. Please check the information section of our rate sheet for a list of items not to be forgotten. |
| Q | Can we bring our pet? |
| A | Yes, your pet (with the exception of exotic animals such as snakes, spiders, rats etc.) is welcome at Rockview Camp Cottage Resort. In order to avoid problems, we have a few rules which must be obeyed. Please don't bring your pet withouth our prior confirmation. A fee will apply. Please ask for details. |
| Q | How many people can your cottages accommodate? |
| A | Our 2 bedroom cottages are for a maximum of 5 persons, the 3 bedroom for a maximum of 8. This includes children and infants of any age. |
| Q | Can we have visitors during our stay? |
| A | Yes, visitors are welcome. They have to register at the office upon arrival. Overnight stay has to be cleared with us prior to their stay. We reserve the right to limit the number of visitors as well as the frequency of visitations. A visitor fee may apply. |
| Q | What are your rates? |
| A | Our rates can be checked on the "Rates" page. They are per cottage for up to 4 persons in a 2 bedroom res. for up to 6 persons in the 3 bedroom cottage. Additional persons of any age are extra. |
| Q | Do the rates include a boat and motor or dockage? |
| A | Boats and motors or dockage are extra. We do not think it fair to impose a boat on people who wish not to rent one or include the price for a boat into your rate if you don't use it. Boat rental prices can be checked on the "Rates" page. |
| Q | Do boat rental prices include gas and oil? |
| A | Gas and oil are extra. Again: we don't think if fair to incorporate a certain amount into your rate whether you are going to use it or not. You will pay what you use only. |
| Q | What is there to do while we stay at Rockview Camp Cottage Resort? |
| A | There is a lot to see and do in our region. Check out our "Family Vacation" and "Nature Lover" pages. You will also get some ideas on the "Links" page. We also encourage you to check our blog for postings on current and upcoming events close by. |
| Q | Is there a fire pit in front of each cottage? |
| A | No, but there is one at the beach to be shared amongst all our guests. Check with us before having a fire. Absolutely no fireworks or firearms are permitted on the premises. |
| Q | Can our kids sleep at night or does it get noisy from the beach until late? |
| A | We ask our guests to please respect “quiet hours” between 11 PM and 6 AM. |
| Q | What are check-in and check-out times? |
| A | Weekly check-in is 3 p.m., check-out 9 a.m. unless confirmed otherwise by us. In July and August reservations are running from Saturday to Saturday unless confirmed otherwise by us. |
| Q | How can I book a cottage at Rockview Camp Cottage Resort? |
| A | You can make a reservation by phone or e-mail. We will need your full name, address, phone number and a $300.00 deposit by VISA or MasterCard per cottage per week. You do not have a reservation unless your deposit has been received and confirmed in writing, or by e-mail, by us. |
| Q | How do I pay the balance? |
| A | The balance of your reservation is due upon arrival by cash, cheque, traveler's cheque, certified cheque, money order or Interac. If you intend to pay by Interac, please make sure your daily card limit is sufficient. |
| Q | What happens if I have to cancel my reservation? |
| A | Please check our cancellation policy on our rate sheet. |
