What are the cottages like?

All our cottages are on lakefront and offer you clean accommodations, kitchen, living room, 2 or 3 bedrooms and 3 or 4 piece bathroom. They are comfortably furnished and fully equipped with colour TV, satellite reception, DVD, linens and complete kitchen including microwave, drip coffee maker, toaster, cutlery, dishes, pots, pans, utensils, tea towels and dish soap. Each cottage has a picnic table and propane BBQ. All our 2 bedroom cottages have also screened in porches.

What is there to do for the entire family?

Our region offers you a wide variety of activities for the entire family: shopping centres, artisans studio tour, excellent restaurants, museums, golfing, hiking trails, tours on the Chief Commanda II cruise ship, horseback riding and much more. You will also find several golf courses in the area and while you play 9 or 18 holes, your wife might enjoy a day of pampering at one of the day-spas in and around North Bay. Day trips to the most interesting places in the Near North can bee enjoyed too. Go see an old nickel mine or the Imax theater for instance. A child's dreams can come true at the Science North and Dynamic Earth: touch, try out, guide a remote controlled robot, observe a beaver close up and so much more. In the fall you can enjoy "Indian Summer" with its colourful forests in Ontario's Near North. Painting and taking pictures or simply taking in the colours are as popular as fishing. You can go catch the "big one" even on a windy day as our camp is located in one of the most sheltered places on Lake Nipissing - the island paradise of the South Bay.

And after a day filled with adventure and fun the children can play on our sandy beach or the playground while you prepare supper on the BBQ or just relax.
 

Can we bring our pet?

Yes, your pet (with the exception of exotic animals such as snakes, spiders, rats etc.) is welcome at Rockview Camp Cottage Resort. In order to avoid problems, we have a few rules which must be obeyed. Please don't bring your pet withouth our prior confirmation. A fee will apply. Please ask for details.
